Gary Lapera

Industry Executive  – Infrastructure / CDI L.R. Kimball

Mr. Lapera is in charge of all the business units of L.R. Kimball and is member of the Energy, Chemicals, and Infrastructure leadership team at CDI.  Global design, client management, and development strategies for complex projects are the hallmarks of his portfolio.  His extensive experience as Industry Executive spans services, building types, and international geographic boundaries.  Recent work includes master and facility planning to inventive designs for office buildings, mixed use sites, educational facilities, and residential / hospitality projects.  His ability to design sustainable environments that respect the economic and aspirational aspects of projects set Mr. Lapera apart from industry peers and positioned him as one of the industry's most thoughtful innovators.  In 2014 he was named a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects in recognition of individual achievements and contributions to the profession.  He is the founder of CDI Studio One.

 

Richard E. Genday, PE

Vice President – Director of Projects, Transportation

As a recognized leader in his field, Mr. Genday brings more than 35 year of high-level infrastructure, transportation and management experience to every client we serve. Throughout his career, he has effectively managed more than $200 million in construction costs for an array of highway, bridge, airport and construction inspection contracts at the local, regional, state and federal levels. His expertise has guided the successful completion of complex projects for clients including the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Pittsburgh International Airport, as well as master planning, feasibility study, preliminary engineering, and final design and contract administration services for hundreds of clients. He is a registered professional engineer in more than 20 states.

 

George S. Kopchik, PMP, PS, SP, PLS
Director of Geospatial Services

Mr. Kopchik’s acute sense of detail and imagery has firmly established him as our key mapping resource. His extensive experience with geographic information systems, aerial photography, volume computation, digital orthophotography, surveying, and topographic and planimetric mapping is an essential component of our work in the highway, aviation and energy sectors, as well as with municipalities across the country.  He brings more than 30 years of experience to his position, including effective management skills that have enabled our geospatial program and its team to thrive.

 

William E. Stenger, REM CES, CRS
Director of Geotechnical Services

Mr. Stenger brings more than 30 years of experience to his role as Director of Geotechnical Services for our Architectural and Engineering Division. His track record in effective project management and field supervision sets the tone for our environmental and bulk materials activities, including planning and oversight of stockpile inventories, hazardous waste and residual waste remediation efforts that require advanced technology solutions such as air sparging, soil vapor extractions, thermal desorption and bioremediation, and the strategic development and implementation of multi-phase environmental investigations and audits.  As our liaison to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and several state nuclear regulatory agencies, Mr. Stenger also serves as our primary point of contact for issues related to radioactive waste and other nuclear matters.

 

Richard L. Holes, PE
Director of Aviation Services

Mr. Holes directs all aviation services at L.R. Kimball, specifically airport planning, environmental services, design, construction, quality control, business development, and client relations. In the last two years alone, his leadership and management skills have helped nearly a dozen local, regional and international airports launch and complete an array of projects, including feasibility studies and master plans, land acquisition, taxiway and runway extensions, obstruction removals, and stormwater and drainage plans.  He is registered professional engineer in seven mid-Atlantic states, and is actively involved in the Pennsylvania Aviation Advisory Committee, Aviation Council of Pennsylvania, American Society of Highway Engineers, and other key associations.

 

David A. Rispoli, PE, PMP
Director of Projects, Architecture + Engineering

Mr. Rispoli brings more than 30 years of experience in all phases of architecture, engineering and construction to every client he serves.  His expertise in project management, operations, staff supervision, and budget control has taken hundreds of projects in the correctional, judicial, public safety, healthcare, transportation, commercial, manufacturing, and educational sectors from vision to reality, often transforming communities in the process.  His trademark versatility and proven ability to coordinate large project teams and their multiple activities can also be seen in many of our design-build projects. He is registered professional engineer in nine Midwest and mid-Atlantic states.
